Description
This little story follows up the first Pirate Tale and the most obvious criticism of the story is that it is too much like the first story retold. Parts of it work well, however, such as the scene with the girls outside the pub in Cairns. The character of Mr Bligh the Boasting Bosun is charming and the two weddings conducted by the Reverend Monstrance Macgregor are all part of the fun. Children to whom I have read this story like the way it ends with the wicked Matron suitably punished.
